If you’re an English learner, maybe you feel that you use some words too much. So, I brought three tips that can help you grow your English vocabulary.
For example, let’s take a look at the word “nice”. A lot of things are nice, but maybe something is more than nice. In that case, it could be:

Nice → Spectacular

And, if it is more than spectacular:
Spectacular → Breathtaking

That way, you can diversify your compliments and, at the same time, make them more effective.
Nice → Spectacular → Breathtaking

But what about the tips to grow your vocabulary? Here they are:

Pay attention to words other people use. → Sometimes, we miss new words because we’re not paying attention. Listening is always a good way to learn, so keep your ears open!
Write down the new words you hear. → This is a good way to memorize them and to learn how to write them properly. If you don’t know how to write that specific word, ask your friend to spell it. You can also hear a new word while watching a TV show, for example. If that’s the case, find that word on Google and write it down.

It’s time to use the words you learned! → Use it as soon as possible. This way, you’ll get used to the word and will solidify your new vocabulary.

I hope you enjoyed this lesson. If you did, send it to a friend who is also learning English.
See you in the next one!
