Prepositions: in, on, at
If there is something that everybody loves, it is a party. So today you’re gonna learn about the prepositions “in”, “on” and “at” while we talk within the context of parties.
Let’s go!
Now, imagine that you’re going to invite some friends to a party. There are some things you must share with them, like the date and the location.
To tell your guests the month of the party, we use the preposition IN. For example:
Can you come to my wedding? It’s in June!
But to talk about the day and date of the party, we use ON. For example:
A: What day is your birthday party?
B: It’s on Saturday!
A: And when is the date?
B: It’s on March 19th.
But we still need to know what time the party starts. This is when we use AT:
A: What time does your party start?
B: It starts at 5 p.m.!
Now you have the day, the date, the time… what about the location? We use AT as well:
A: Where will the party be?
B: It will be at my house. At 123 Pleasant Way.
And that’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed it! And remember to share with your friends!
Until next time!
