When someone asks you a question, do you answer, reply or do you respond? Well, that’s what you’re about to learn today.

To answer → we use this one for simple questions, like when telling the time or the answer to a question on a math test. Your answer can be spoken or written.
To reply → we use reply to questions but also for statements. So if someone says “you look tired”. It isn’t a question, but you can reply: yes, I am tired!
To respond → same as reply, it works with questions and statements. So what’s the difference? It is a more formal word. So you can respond to your boss, for example.

That’s it, guys! I hope you enjoyed it. Remember to send this to a friend, and take a look at our content here on the website.

Until next time!
